HONOR says new midrange phone 400 5G sold out in just 3 days

MANILA — HONOR Philippines said its latest midrange model, HONOR 400 5G, was sold out just three days after it went on sale.

The device, which touts a nearly seamless image to video feature via tight integration with Google's Veo 2 AI model, was launched in the Philippines last June 17.

The phone allows users to take still photos and turn them into 5-second animated videos.

"After its successful pre-order campaign, HONOR 400 5G has officially surpassed its predecessor HONOR 200 5G by 15 times!," the company said in a statement.

“We have been working very hard for the past few months to introduce HONOR 400 5G to our supporters perfectly and it’s safe to say that all our hard work has paid off," said Stephen Cheng, Vice President of HONOR Philippines.

Cheng said the company is working to restock units of the popular model.  

The HONOR 400 features a 200MP main camera paired with a 1/1.4-inch large sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and dual stabilization (OIS + EIS).

It also features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, 12 GB of memory and 512 GB of storage, a 120 Hz AMOLED screen, IP166 water and dust resistance and a 6000mAh battery.

HONOR presold the 400 for P22,999 from June 17 to 27 with freebies such as a Jisulife fan, JBL GO4 Bluetooth speakers and an HONOR Choice Earbuds Clip, which the company said are worth over P9,000.
