Compact smartphones are making a comeback in 2025. As smartphones grow large, heavy, and prone to overheating during intensive use, the demand for small devices is increasing. Many users now seek something light, easy to handle, and practical for daily tasks.

Content creators, professionals, and everyday users prefer a device that is easy to hold, fits comfortably in pockets, and may keep up with both work and play.

vivo Philippines addressed this demand with the launch of the vivo X200 FE, a 6.31-inch flat-screen phone that weighs 186 grams. It offers a compact, one-hand design packed with features suitable for various lifestyles, providing a practical solution for your daily tasks.

During the official launch held on July 16 in BGC, media guests, content creators, and influencers were among the first to experience the device. Lifestyle, beauty, and gaming influencers, Gen Zs and young millennials, gathered to test its features, including the 10x zoom, selfie capabilities, and overall performance.

Hazel Bascon, vivo PH Vice President for Sales, emphasized this market shift. "We believe that it is the trend now. Most young people want something compact. They want to use one hand, so we made phones like the vivo X200 FE."

Power and durability in a compact build

The vivo X200 FE features a 6500 mAh BlueVolt battery, promising longevity throughout the day. The smartphone supports 90W FlashCharge technology, allowing users to gain up to three hours of video playback from just a 10-minute charge.

For outdoor creators and commuters, the device comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, allowing you to continue your daily grind rain or shine, without worry.

A star-studded presentation

A highlight of the event was the appearance of vivo brand ambassador and actor Alden Richards, who showcased the phone's top features.

"I love three things about this phone," Richards shared. "First, the compact design. Most users commute daily, and a large phone can be a hassle. This device fits easily in the pocket and can be brought everywhere."

Second, he praised the imaging capabilities. The 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto camera enables users to zoom without compromising image quality.

This feature proves essential for concert-goers. As the Philippines emerge as one of the top destinations for global tours, fans frequently capture videos and photos during performances. The vivo X200 FE ensures that even distant shots remain clear and detailed.

"The camera can zoom up to 100x, so even if you are far from the stage, you still get clear photos," Richards said.

Lastly, he commended the battery life. "The 6500 mAh battery lasted me three days with constant use. It keeps up with my busy schedule."

The event concluded with vivo's traditional group selfie, taken by Richards using the vivo X200 FE.
