MANILA — Smart Communications has partnered with four homegrown streaming services, and launched a new &#x27;pluggable eSIM&#x27; for phones that are not capable of taking eSIMs. According to Smart, the technology enables non-eSIM-capable Android devices to store and manage multiple eSIMs. While new flagship phones and many premium midrange phones are already capable of using eSIMs, older phones and most budget and lower-end midrange phones are still limited to physical SIMs.With the Smart Multi SIM, users can easily download and install up to five eSIM profiles, and conveniently manage and switch between these eSIMs for personal, business, or travel use, the telco said.The Smart Multi SIM is a physical SIM card that comes with a mobile number and a welcome bundle of 5 GB of open access data, 100 SMS, and 10 minutes of calls valid for three days.  &quot;To begin using the service, users simply need to download the Smart Multi SIM app on Google Play Store. The app&#x27;s homepage provides a simple interface for managing existing profiles, adding new ones, and purchasing more eSIMs directly from the Smart Online Store,&quot; Smart said.The Multi SIM sells for P119, according to Smart.<div>TEAMUP WITH iWANT, OTHER STREAMING SERVICES</div>Smart said it is also partnering with iWANT and three other homegrown streaming services, which will allow Smart subscribers to pay for these services through their phone bill.  &quot;Through these respective strategic partnerships, Smart subscribers can conveniently access and stream content using Direct Carrier Billing (DCB), which instantly charges subscriptions to these platforms using their prepaid load or postpaid bill,&quot; Smart said. iWant is ABS-CBN’s global streaming service, which offers a rich library of local world-class entertainment including television dramas, variety shows, news, documentaries, music, and sports, as well as live-streamed channels and exclusive originals. Its basic plan starts at P35 per month.The other streaming services are Cignal Play, VivaOne, and Watchapp

Aside from the pluggable eSIM, Smart is also introducing a new service that lets subscribers pay for iWANT and other streaming services through their phone bill.
