Like other laptops in Acre’s Swift series, the Air also cuts down on weight using strong but lightweight materials for the chassis. </p><p>The AMOLED model of the Swift Air 16 tips the scales at just 1.1 kilograms, while the IPS display option weighs less than 1 kilo, making them among the lightest laptops with a large 16-inch screen on the market. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>TravelMate</strong></div><p>For small and medium business owners, Acer also unveiled new TravelMate laptops powered by Intel’s power-efficient ‘Lunar Lake’ processors that also feature AI capabilities. </p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1756978473447Acer TravelMate X4-14 AI.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">The Acer TravelMate X4 14 AI. <em>Handout </em></span></span></span></div><p>The TravelMate X4 14 AI can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 258V with 115 TOPS  of overall performance for AI tasks, up to 32 GB memory, and up to 1 TB storage.</p><p>“Running Windows 11 Pro, the laptop supports Copilot+ PC experiences, including Recall (preview), Click to Do, improved Windows search, Cocreator in Microsoft Paint, and Live Captions for real-time multilingual translations,” Acer said.</p><p>As it is built for work, the Travelmate’s 14-inch, 1920x1200 screen comes in the productivity-optimized 16:10 aspect ratio, with 500 nits of peak brightness so the display remains viewable even in bright environments, like outdoor cafe areas.</p><div> <span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1756978834765acer intel panther lake.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"/><span class="fr-inner" spellcheck="false" style="text-align:left">Intel and Acer officials talk about the next-generation PCs powered by Panther Lake. <em>Arthur Fuentes, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><div><strong>Intel Panther Lake</strong></div><p>Amid the popularity of Intel’s power-efficient ‘Lunar Lake’ chips, Acer and Intel also unveiled the Swift 16 AI, which is touted to be one of the very first laptops to feature the next-generation Panther Lake chips that promise to deliver even better performance and power efficiency. </p><p>First announced last May during the Computex expo in Taiwan, Panther Lake is the code name for Intel’s next line of mobile and desktop CPUs. But as the chip has yet to be officially released, Acer was mum about the specs and release date of the Swift 16 AI. The lone model of the upcoming laptop was enclosed in a glass case during the Acer event in Berlin. </p><p>While I personally prefer 14-inch laptops for their portability, if the Swift 16 AI is anything like the Swift 14 AI we recently tested, it could be another very strong contender in the tin-and-light notebook segment. </p>
