Arthur Fuentes, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA — HONOR Philippines on Friday formally launched the latest version of its ‘toughest’ midrange phone, the X9d 5G.In the days prior to the launch, HONOR teased the brand’s fans with videos showing just how much abuse the X9d could take. One video showed the phone getting dropped from an ultralight plane, while other videos showed it getting thrown at a Tesla Cybertruck, and even rolled over by the EV’s massive tires.Throughout these “tests” the phone still functioned, which is no surprise given that this is the latest iteration of the X9 series, which in the years past has also survived insane durability tests.Coming from the X9c, there are a few changes to the design of the X9d—the most noticeable of which is the switch to a flat screen from a curved display.
