MANILA (UPDATED) -- Tropical depression Romina is over the western portion of the Kalayaan Islands, according to the state weather bureau.

PAGASA said in its 8 p.m. update on Sunday that Romina is over the coastal waters of Gomez Reef, Kalayaan, Palawan, still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

It is moving North Northwestward 30 kilometers per hour with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h.
