MANILA -- Three weather systems are expected to bring light and scattered rains in several areas of the country this week, according to the state weather bureau.

PAGASA said moderate Amihan surge will persist over Northern Luzon and weaken by Wednesday. It will come back on Sunday. This brings light Amihan rains over Cordillera and Cagayan Valley Monday through Wednesday.

A shear line may not fully form over Southern Luzon and parts of Visayas during this moderate Amihan surge. But scattered shear line rains will be experienced in Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Bicol, and parts of Panay and Samar Tuesday through Thursday.

The humid Easterlies will prevail over most of the country Thursday through Saturday.

Eastern Cagayan Valley and Aurora may have some rains Friday and Saturday while Palawan and most of Mindanao will have intense thunderstorms especially in the afternoon.

Metro Manila will experience fair weather throughout the week. It may have overcast conditions midday through afternoon but with low chance of rain.
