Dagupan City in Pangasinan is set to experience searing hot weather Friday and Saturday, with the heat index expected to rise to 44 degrees Celsius, weather bureau PAGASA said.

Cuyo in Palawan, and Cotabato City in Maguindanao are also facing “danger” heat index levels of 42 degrees Celsius, according to PAGASA.

PAGASA weather forecaster Lorie dela Cruz said most of the country will experience fair weather conditions except Eastern Visayas, which will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Metro Manila will experience warmer temperatures in the afternoon and evening, dela Cruz said.
