<p>MANILA (<strong>UPDATED</strong>)-- A low pressure area has formed outside of the Philippine area of responsibility, according to the state weather bureau. </p><p>PAGASA said the LPA was spotted at 2 p.m. 635 kilometers east southeast of Davao City.</p><p>The weather system embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression, said PAGASA. </p><p>According to ABS-CBN&#x27;s resident weather forecaster Ariel Rojas, that same LPA may develop into a tropical cyclone by Wednesday or Thursday and be assigned the local name Auring. </p><p>&quot;It may either cross central Philippines towards the West Philippine Sea or make a recurvature east of Luzon,&quot; he said. </p><p>But he noted that the track and intensity forecasts are still uncertain. </p><p>Afternoon thunderstorms over many parts of Luzon and Visayas from Monday through Wednesday and more intense thunderstorms are expected in Mindanao due to the weather disturbance. </p><p>If the potential storm crosses the country, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be very rainy from Thursday through Saturday while most of the country may be wet on Sunday. </p><p>If it recurves before approaching land, rains from the storm&#x27;s periphery may be experienced in Eastern Visayas and eastern Luzon Friday through Sunday.</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
