The intertropical convergence zone will continue to affect Mindanao and Palawan on Tuesday while 26 areas are facing danger heat index levels all over the country, weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Zamboanga Peninsula, Western Visayas, and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the frontal system.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Twenty-six areas will experience dangerous heat index levels of 42 degrees Celsius and above including NAIA Pasay City (42), Laoag City (43), Dagupan City (45), Aparri in Cagayan (44), Clark Airport in Pampanga (43), Sangley Point in Cavite City (44), Infanta, Quezon (43), Legazpi City,, Albay (42) and more.
