Romando Artes said more than 1,500 traffic violation tickets under the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) has been issued to violators in<u></u> <u></u>front of La Salle Greenhills (LSGH), but it seems that it is being disregarded by affected motorists.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/3/mmda-eyes-stricter-ncap-implementation-near-private-school-in-greenhills-ortigas-1823">MMDA eyes stricter NCAP implementation near private schools in Greenhills, Ortigas</a></div><p>&quot;Nagkaroon na kami ng series of dialogue. Ako po ay may nauna nang sulat na nagsasabi na 490 na yung natiketan namin pero napuna po namin after that mas lalo pa pong lumala dahil mas marami pa po kaming natiketan. Ang nakikita po namin na talagang despite the penelty don sa paglalagay namin ng CCTV cameras, sinasakop pa rin po nung nanghahatid at nagsusundo lahat halos na ng lanes eh,” Artes told reporters.</p><p>According to Artes, motorists picking-up students are not just causing traffic but blocking the road.</p><p>“Nakaka-istorbo po talaga at hindi na nga nakakabagal, nakakabara na talaga dahil wala na ho halos makadaan. May nagrereklamo na tatawid lang sila from the other side ng EDSA, inaabot sila ng oras,” said Artes.</p><p>&quot;Will find drastic measures, minsan umaabot ng Cainta yung traffic,” Artes added.</p><p>Artes emphasized that NCAP is strictly being implemented along Ortigas Avenue.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/6/30/patrol-ng-pilipino-ncap-traffic-violations-sa-may-huli-ka-website-may-manual-verification-mmda-2157">NCAP traffic violations sa ‘May Huli Ka’ website, may manual verification: MMDA</a></div><p>“Huwag lamang pong sarili natin ang iisipin natin dahil mas marami pong mape-perwisyo doon sa ginagawa nating paghaharang doon sa traffic ng Ortigas at ganon din para ipaalala sa kanila na may CCTV cameras na po tayo na nanghuhuli ng nang-o-obstruct ng traffic,“ said Artes.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>LSGH RESPONDS</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>In a statement, LSGH said it &quot;acknowledges the traffic challenges&quot; along its portion of Ortigas Avenue during student drop-off and pickup hours. </p><p>The school said that it was &quot;actively collaborating&quot; with MMDA to address the concern.</p><p>&quot;Together with the MMDA, and with the cooperation of parents, guardians, and stakeholders, LSGH remains steadfast in its commitment to implementing sustainable solutions that improve traffic flow while ensuring the safety and well-being of our students,&quot; LSGH president Br. Edmundo Fernandez said.</p><p>It added that prior to the opening of the school year, LSGH already implemented some measures to minimize the congestion, such as traffic flow adjustments, additional drop-off and pick-up spaces, revised class schedules, maximized use of school buses and carpooling scheme, among others.</p>
