<p>MANILA (2ND UPDATE) - Super Typhoon Nando slightly weakened as it continues to move away from the Babuyan Islands after making landfall over Calayan, Cagayan on Monday.</p><p>It currently packs winds of 205 kph and with gustiness up to 285 kph.</p><p>Wind signal no. 4 remains hoisted over western Babuyan, northwestern mainland Cagayan, and northern Ilocos Norte.</p><p>Meanwhile, signal no. 3 is still up over Batanes, the rest of Babuyan, northern and central Cagayan, northern and central Apayao, and the rest of Ilocos Norte.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>TROPICAL CYCLONE WIND SIGNALS (TCWS) IN EFFECT:</strong></div><p>TCWS No. 4</p><p>The western portion of Babuyan Islands (Panuitan Isl., Calayan Isl., Dalupiri Isl.,Irao Isl.,Mabag Isl., Barit Isl., Fuga Isl.), the northwestern portion of Cagayan (Santa Praxedes, Claveria), and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Burgos, Bangui, Dumalneg, Adams)</p><div><br/></div><p>TCWS No. 3</p><p>Batanes, the rest of Babuyan Islands, the northern and central portions of Cagayan (Lal-Lo, Gattaran, Lasam, Allacapan, Ballesteros, Abulug, Aparri, Santa Teresita, Buguey, Camalaniugan, Alcala, Rizal, Santo Niño, Gonzaga, Pamplona, Sanchez-Mira, Santa Ana), the northern and central portions of Apayao (Flora, Santa Marcela, Pudtol, Luna, Calanasan, Kabugao), and the rest of Ilocos Norte</p><div><br/></div><p>TCWS No. 2</p><p>The rest of mainland Cagayan, the northern portion of Isabela (Santo Tomas, San Mateo, Aurora, Santa Maria, Quezon, Roxas, Luna, Delfin Albano, San Pablo, Ilagan City, Tumauini, Cabagan, Reina Mercedes, San Manuel, Cabatuan, Quirino, Divilacan, Gamu, Mallig, Maconacon, Burgos), the rest of Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, the northern portion of Benguet (Mankayan, Buguias, Bakun, Kibungan), Ilocos Sur, and the northern portion of La Union (Sudipen, Bangar, Luna, Balaoan, Santol)</p><div><br/></div><p>TCWS No. 1</p><p>The rest of Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, the rest of Benguet, the rest of La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Zambales, and the northern portion of Quezon (General Nakar) including Polillo Islands-</p><div><br/></div><p>At 10 p.m. Monday, Super Typhoon Nando was located 145 km west northwest of Calayan, Cagayan. It continues to track westward at 20 kph.</p><p>It may exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday morning.</p><p>Nando is expected to be out of the Philippine area of responsibility Tuesday morning.</p><p>However, its trough or extension and the enhanced southwest monsoon will continue to bring gusty conditions and heavy rains over the western part of Luzon, including Metro Manila.</p><p>Widespread and serious flooding and landslides remain likely in many areas.</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fcSRJ11GUR0??si=RWSM550h0d8ipVLz&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
