Handout/PAGASA</div>MANILA (UPDATED) -- Tropical depression Caloy continues to weaken and may be downgraded into a low pressure area within the next 12 hours, PAGASA said Sunday. As of 10 p.m., Caloy was located 610 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte. It has maximum winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) with gustiness of up to 55 kph and is moving at 15 kph. The weather bureau said the weather disturbance is not expected to directly impact the country’s weather as it will remain offshore. It may linger east of Bicol and Eastern Visayas for most of the week before eventually dissipating. Meanwhile, the low pressure area being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility was spotted 2,275 km east of Mindanao at 2 p.m. Sunday. It remains unlikely to develop into a storm and may dissipate close to the PAR boundary. No other weather disturbances are expected in the coming week, but the Easterlies will continue to bring warm and humid conditions across much of the Philippines. Heat indices may still reach danger category in several areas, especially in Luzon. Afternoon or evening thunderstorms are possible especially in Ilocos Region, Cordillera, and most of Mindanao. Localized or isolated thunderstorms are also possible in other areas. Hot and humid conditions will also persist in Metro Manila, with higher chances of thunderstorms from Friday to Sunday.<div> </div><div> </div>
