<div><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/clanzjvKXrM?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe> </div>Severe tropical storm Francisco is set to exit the Philippine area of responsibility Thursday afternoon or evening while tropical storm Higos may enter the PAR in the evening, according to PAGASA.As of 4 a.m., Francisco was located 415 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.It continued to weaken due to dry air intrusion and strong wind shear around the northern Philippine Sea, with sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour and gustiness up to 125 kph.It is moving north northeastward at 15 kph.Inclement weather may still be experienced in Batanes, where wind signal no. 1 remains hoisted.Meanwhile, tropical storm Higos, which will be assigned the local name Gardo once inside the PAR, was last spotted 1,750 kilometers east of Central Luzon.It slightly intensified, with sustained winds of 75 kph and gustiness up to 90 kph, and is moving west northwestward at 20 kph.It is not expected to affect the country’s weather and may exit the PAR as early as Friday morning or afternoon.The southwest monsoon or Habagat will continue to affect Luzon and Visayas, bringing gusty conditions especially over coastal and upland areas.Occasional rains may be expected in Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro while Metro Manila, Ilocos, Cordillera, CALABARZON, Western Visayas, and the rest of Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and MIMAROPA may have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains.In Mindanao, thunderstorms may bring heavy rains and strong winds lasting up to an hour, especially in the afternoon.PAGASA warns against possible flooding and landslides in hazard-prone areas, especially during occasions of prolonged and heavy rainfall.
