<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1750982603868PINAY-NURSE.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/>Photo courtesy:  June Caguioa</div>LONDON – Senior-level nurse Jen Rubino Caguioa officially received her Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) medal during an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.“An unforgettable afternoon: received my MBE for services to nursing at Buckingham Palace today,” said Rubino in a social media post.She also expressed gratitude to her colleagues and friends who supported her throughout her journey.“I dedicate this honour to fellow international nurses who continue to serve,” she added.Her award was announced in the 2025 New Year Honours (30 December 2024) and formally gazetted on 31 December 2024.Jen is a trailblazing nursing leader whose MBE recognizes decades of service, advocacy, and global impact—particularly in championing international and ethnic minority nurses.With over 30 years of nursing experience, Jen Rubino Caguioa has held key leadership roles, including serving as International Recruitment &amp; Ethnic Minorities Nurse Advisor at NHS England, and formerly as Head of Global at the Florence Nightingale Foundation. She was also one of the first Filipino nurses elected to the Royal College of Nursing Council (London region). She continues to lead efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusive leadership in healthcare.“I am so proud of you, Jen Rubino Caguioa, MBE,” her husband June shared in a heartfelt social media post.MBE stands for Member of the Order of the British Empire, an honour awarded by the British monarchy to individuals for significant achievements or outstanding service to the community.
