ABS-CBN, PACE, to hold Pinoy Media Congress Year 13

Committed to help educate the country’s future communicators, ABS-CBN and the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) will hold the “Pinoy Media Congress Year 13” (PMC 13) on March 7 and 8 at the College of Holy Spirit Manila (CHSM) and the University of San Agustin (USA) in Iloilo.

Mahigit 1,000 delegado, dadalo sa PMC sa Manila at Iloilo
 
Patuloy ang pagtulong ng ABS-CBN at Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) sa paghubog at paghanda sa susunod na henerasyon ng communicators sa “Pinoy Media Congress Year 13” (PMC 13), ngayong Marso 7 at 8 sa College of the Holy Spirit Manila (CHSM) at University of San Agustin (USA) sa Iloilo.
 
Sa 13 taong pagsasagawa nito, mahigit 10,000 estudyante na ang nagkaroon ng mas malalim na pag-unawa sa media at nabigyan ng inspirasyon sa larangang nais nilang pasukin mula sa mga nakilahok na media practitioners at mga eksperto sa industriya sa PMC.
 
Kamakailan lang ay ipinagtibay ng ABS-CBN, PACE, CHSM, at USA ang kanilang pagkakaisa sa isang memorandum of agreement na dinaluhan nina ABS-CBN president at CEO Carlo Katigbak, PACE president Dr. Rowena Capulong-Reyes, at CHSM president Dr. Wynna Marie Medina sa ABS-CBN at sina ABS-CBN Integrated Corporate Communications head Kane Errol Choa,  USA president Rev. Fr. Frederick Comendador, at PACE vice president for Visayas Ulderio Alviola sa Iloilo.
 
Mahigit 1,000 delegado ang inaasahan ngayong taon sa PMC 13, na mayroon ulit interactive live broadcast kung saan mayroong speakers pareho sa Manila at Iloilo.  Mangunguna sa pagbahagi ng kaalaman nila sa mga isyu at kagawian sa media ang mga eksperto mula sa ABS-CBN na sina Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. president and co-founder Rina Lopez, ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs head Ging Reyes, ABS-CBN News Futures, Standards, and Practices head Chi Almario, iWant head Elaine Uy-Casipit, iWant content head Ginny Ocampo, Black Sheep Films creative director Kriz Gazmen, ABS-CBN Film Restoration project head Leo Katigbak, ABS-CBN Creative Communication Management head Robert Labayen, Star Music head Roxy Liquigan, ABS-CBN business unit head Pete Dizon, ABS-CBN journalists Chiara Zambrano, Migs Bustos at Karen Davila, at celebrity Alex Gonzaga.
 
Makakasama rin ang iba pang respetadong pangalan sa media tulad nina Dentsu Aegis Network chief digital strategy officer Bea Atienza, iFlix country manager Sherwin Dela Cruz, Jollibee assistant vice president and head of brand communications, PR and digital marketing Arline Adeva, UP College of Mass Communications professor Dr. Rosel San Pascual, Preen.ph managing editor Jacque De Borja, at Youngstar.ph managing editor Gaby Gloria.
 
May pagkakataon din ang mga estudyante na makaharap at makapagtanong sa mga lider ng ABS-CBN sa pangunguna nina president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, head of broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN news and current affairs head Ging Reyes, at entertainment production head Laurenti M. Dyogi.
 
Sa Marso 9 naman, daan-daang estudyante ang lalahok sa mga libreng workshop na isasagawa ng iba-ibang Kapamilya tulad ng pagsusulat sa TV kasama si ABS-CBN head writer Jerry Gracio, paggawa ng video na papatok sa YouTube kasama ang Adober Studios, paano ang newscasting at newsgathering sa radyo kasama nina Ricky Rosales at Zhander Cayabyab ng DZMM, paggawa ng dokyumentaryo kasama sina Jeff Canoy, Chiara Zambrano, at ABS-CBN DocuCentral, at election monitoring at citizen journalism kasama ang Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo. May special rates din ang mga delegado sa ABS-CBN Studio Tours at ABS-CBN Studio XP.
 
Nasa ika-13 taon na ang PMC na tumanggap na ng Awards of Excellence mula sa Public Relations Society of the Philippines' Anvil Awards noong 2008 at International Association of Business Communicators Philippines' Philippine Quill Awards noong 2007.
