DIGITAL TERRESTRIAL TELEVISION

The Company continues to invest in Digital Terrestrial TV equipment to improve clarity of signal in certain areas of Mega Manila and Central Luzon. The company believes that the transition from analogue to digital will result in an increase in its audience share. The Company will be ready to launch as soon as the implementing rules and regulations is released.

ENTERTAINMENT

FILM & MUSIC

Films and Music segment of the Company is composed of movie production, film distribution, audio recording and distribution and video/audio post production. Films are generally produced through its subsidiary ABS-CBN Film Productions (AFPI) or more popularly known as Star Cinema. Other movies are co-produced with other local or international producers or are simply distributed by AFPI. Music needs are managed by Star Recording, Inc. and Star Songs, Inc. to complement the recording needs of the Company’s multi-talented artists and handle music publishing and composing requirements, respectively.

REGIONAL

ABS-CBN Regional is the network’s extension in the country’s many islands to ensure a wider reach across the archipelago. Through the Regional Division, the network broadcasts most of the programs aired in Channel 2 Manila nationwide, produces local news and current affairs programs that meet the news and information needs of regional viewers, and provides immediate public service to local communities. ABS-CBN Regional operates 35 television stations consisting of 7 stand-alone originating stations, 9 hubs, 17 small stations and 2 affiliates, and operates a radio network consisting of 16 MOR FM stations and 3 AM stations.

GLOBAL

Global segment, through ABS-CBN International, North America (NA), pioneered the international content distribution through Direct to Home (DTH), cable, internet protocol TV, mobile and online through The Filipino Channel (TFC). It is available in all territories where there is a significant market of overseas Filipinos such as the United States, Middle East, Europe, Australia, Canada and Asia Pacific. Other activities include international film distribution, sponsorship and events, remittance and retail.
