ABS-CBN wins Platinum award at the Readers's Digest "Trusted Brands Awards"

ABS-CBN continues to earn consumers’ trust, winning its fourth consecutive Platinum Brand Award from the prestigious Reader’s Digest annual “Trusted Brands Awards.”

ABS-CBN continues to earn consumers’ trust, winning its fourth consecutive Platinum Brand Award from the prestigious Reader’s Digest annual “Trusted Brands Awards.”
 
Thousands of Filipinos across the country were surveyed to rate different brands based on their trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovation, and social responsibility. The Platinum Brand Award, which ABS-CBN has won for the fourth consecutive year, is given to “brands that perform exceptionally, winning their category with a score that vastly out-polled their nearest competitor."
 
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN personalities also earned the highest trust ratings, winning awards in other categories.
 
Long-time “TV Patrol” anchor and veteran broadcast journalist Noli de Castro won Most Trusted TV News and Current Affairs Presenter, while fellow “TV Patrol” and DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 anchor Ted Failon won Most Trusted Radio Presenter.
 
On the other hand, respondents chose “It’s Showtime” and “Gandang Gabi Vice” host Vice Ganda as the Most Trusted Entertainment/Variety Presenter.
 
This year marks the ninth consecutive year that ABS-CBN was formally acknowledged by the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards for earning the trust of consumers, who recognize the company’s commitment to serve Filipinos everywhere with high quality content, innovative experiences, and public service programs.
Since its launch in 1998, the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Award has sought to discover the majority’s preference and standards in buying or subscribing to a service by communicating with consumers who can vouch for each of the brands’ quality.

For the 2019 edition, about 8,000 individuals were surveyed across five of the region’s key markets: the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. 50 categories of products and services across a broad range of industries were included in the survey.
