Weekends are about to become more productive and inspiring as Karen Davila delivers the success stories of Filipino entrepreneurs in “My Puhunan,” on its new timeslot every Saturday morning at 6:30 am on ABS-CBN, with replays every Tuesday after “Bandila.”

For its first episode on the new timeslot, the award-winning business-oriented program features stories of four employees-turned entrepreneurs who are now helping their communities after finding success in farming, manufacturing, and making goods out of local organic produce.

“My Puhunan” anchor Karen Davila first meets Jemuel Gabuna, an agriculture graduate who saw an opportunity to turn urban land into agricultural land following Typhoon Ondoy.  With the help of farmers, whom he taught organic farming, his business Nehemiah Superfoods is now a full-fledged social enterprise known for fresh organic vegetables.

Meanwhile, vegetables turn into healthy teas with Jemuel’s business partner Marites Santiano, a former TV-network employee-turned-manufacturer.  Marites Santiano saw a business opportunity when malunggay gained popularity as a “superfood.” She eventually put up her own factory called Tropical Palm Herb Manufacturing, which now works with local farmers to manufactures teas from moringa (malunggay), turmeric, guyabano, wild bignay, tawa tawa, lagundi, and more.

Finally, Karen sits down with cookie-making couple Jerwin and Tin Damay. Starting with a capital of just Php 4,000 seed money, they created their special moringa chocolate chip cookies for nursing moms and children and now work with the women of the Gawad Kalinga Baseco community to sell a wide range of snacks.

With an earlier and a weekend timeslot, the program hopes to reach and inspire more viewers to start their own business and find another source of income that can help their family and community. Apart from “My Puhunan,” two more shows from the ABS-CBN Integrated News & Current Affairs are bringing hope and inspiration during weekends. “Mission Possible,” anchored by Julius Babao, also debuts on its new timeslot this Saturday (April 6) at 6 am. Meanwhile, “Salamat Dok,” the Philippines' only live magazine health and public service program anchored by Alvin Elchico, Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo, and Jing Castañeda-Velasco, kicks off Sunday mornings at 7:30 am.

Watch, “My Puhunan,” now on its sixth year, on its new timeslot every Saturday at 6:30 am. Catch the replay on its old timeslot of every Tuesday after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN. It will continue to air on DZMM TeleRadyo and ANC as well, every Tuesday at 9:30 pm and Thursday at 1:30 pm, respectively.
