PVL Reinforced Conference Final Four showdown LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A and iWant

July 02, 2019 AT 03:15 PM

From six teams, it’s down to four as the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced conference enters its semifinals stage tomorrow, Wednesday (July 3) at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan. Fans can watch the live coverage on S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, LIGA HD, and via streaming on iWant.

Lower seeded teams like PacificTown Army and BanKo Perlas are out to quash everybody’s dream Finals between the defending PVL Reinforced Conference champs Creamline Cool Smashers and the PetroGazz Angels, who topped the elimination round despite having identical records with the champions. Their respective match-ups will air LIVE on Wednesday (July 3) starting at 3 pm.

Creamline will be facing a veteran-laden PacificTown squad that laid the hammer down in claiming the solo third spot to end the elimination rounds against the BanKo Perlas Spikers. The Spikers will be matched up against the league-leading PetroGazz Angels whose only blemish in the eliminations came from the defending champs.

“(PetroGazz Setter) Djanel Cheng distributed the ball very well during the Angels’ last match. It wasn’t only reinforcements Wilma Salas and Janisa Johnson who were scoring against Motolite. She really involved everybody and I feel that, if that’s something they will do in the semifinals, they’re going to be a more formidable team,” shared volleyball analyst Charo Soriano on “The Score” last Monday (July 1) about the Angels’ form coming into the crucial stages of the conference.

Meanwhile, Soriano’s fellow analyst Synjin Reyes sees PacificTown Army posing a stiff challenge to the defending champs despite Creamline being the overwhelming favorite, due to the performance of Army’s reinforcement, Olena Lymareva-Flink. “We really saw how Lymareva-Flink can carry a team where she scored 29 points in just three sets against BanKo Perlas to take Army to solo third,” he said.

“Besides the 29 points, Lymarev-Flink also had 23 attacking attempts by herself in their last game compared to BanKo’s 25 as a team, showing the disparity between the level of aggressiveness displayed during their last match,” added Soriano.

Don’t miss the opening game of each series pitting defending champions Creamline Cool Smashers against the PacificTown Army Lady Troopers and the PetroGazz Angels against the BanKo Perlas Spikers this Wednesday (July 3) from the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan. All games will be aired LIVE on S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, LIGA HD, and iWant starting at 3 pm.
