Relatable taxpayers' guide "Iwas Buwis-It," authored by Mon Abrea and published by ABS-CBN Books
Boy Abunda, James Reid as “taxation” book ambassadors
The Philippine Tax Whiz Mon Abrea launched his new guide for every taxpayer, “Iwas BUWIS-It: What to do when tax attacks,” an interesting read about why people are taxed, how we are taxed, and what kind of taxes have to be settled, published by ABS-CBN Books.
“The book is for all of us, for us to be responsible taxpayers, and for us to contribute in nation-building,” said the author.
The new book details what kind of taxes everyone is subjected to in their lives. “’Iwas BUWIS-it’ won’t be about how to file this return or pay that tax. The book is about life in general–your careers, your ideals, or even your business ideas,” Mon added.
It includes tips from Potato Corner CEO Jose Magsaysay, Jr., and interviews with celebrities and book ambassadors James Reid and Boy Abunda.
The author, Mon, is the founding chairman of Asian Consulting Group (ACG). “Iwas BUWIS-it” is part of ACG’s advocacy of helping taxpayers by educating them and helping them avoid committing unnecessary violations.
The helpful read is now part of the wide array of ABS-CBN Books’ offerings. To date, the ABS-CBN publishing arm has sold more than two million books—self-help, fiction, and non-fiction—since it started in 2012. ABS-CBN Books has also experienced significant success in the digital space, with books being sold on Lazada, Shopee, and Facebook, and just recently on Amazon Kindle.
