Filipina R&B/soul artist Kiana V translates her quiet introspection into the enchanting song “Dazed,” the title track of her upcoming five-track extended play (EP) to be released soon.

“This is a personal exchange between negative and positive self-talk in an attempt to find inner healing," she explained.

In “Dazed,” Kiana’s feather light voice dances over a luxurious yet wispy synth soundscape that slowly builds over the track's four minute runtime until it reaches a climax of crushing emotionality with the lyrics “set me free.”

The contemporary R&B track was penned by Kiana herself and produced by Filipino-American Jesse Barrera, who also co-produced her upcoming EP. Jesse has worked with fellow Filipino musicians like AJ Rafael, Jeremy Passion, and Jeff Bernat.

Speaking of her “Dazed” EP, Kiana teased, “It's a soft exploration of how self-love affects the love we are able to give to others."

Now dividing her time between Los Angeles and Manila, Kiana’s last music release was 2020’s “Safe Place,” one the tracks in “semilucent” EP from 88rising’s localized label Paradise Rising, produced by ABS-CBN’s Tarsier Records.

Find healing in contemplation and stream Kiana’s “Dazed,” out now on various digital music platforms, and check out for the Dazed Movement Visual, premiering tonight at 9PM on Kiana’s YouTube channel. Watch out also for her “Dazed” EP, out soon.
