Yordenis Ugas at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 21 (Pacific)/ August 22 (Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Europe), which will be available on Pay-Per-View on ktx.ph, iWantTFC, and TFC IPTV in the Middle East, and select countries in Europe and Asia.
The face-off between Pacquiao and Ugas is described by some as a “battle for the throne” since Ugas’ WBA Super Champion title was once Pacquiao's title after winning against Keith Turman in 2019. However, due to his inactivity, his WBA Super Champion title was given to Ugas.
In the CBS Sports article by Brent Brookhouse, Ugas, who has a 26-4, 12 KOs fight record, was quoted saying, “It's an honor to fight the great multiple division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, as I am more than ready to take on this challenge. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Pacquiao, but I am coming to win this fight.”
The fight between Pacquiao and Ugas may be a last-minute change, nevertheless, this is a fight that boxing enthusiasts should not miss as Pacquiao tries to reclaim his throne which Ugas will try to defend.
