Kabayan explores a Christmas village in Pampanga this Sunday

Parols light up every Pinoy household, but parols made out of recycled materials can still make the Yuletide season merry and bright as proven by two senior citizens who will showcase the art of sustainable lantern making this Sunday (December 18) in Noli de Castro’s “KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan.”

69-year-old Reynaldo Magcuilat from Quezon City utilizes old plastic soft drink bottles, while 78-year old Emiliana Esguerra uses plastic straws to create their colorful, yet sustainable, Christmas lanterns.

The holiday excitement continues as Kabayan takes viewers through a Christmas village in San Fernando, Pampanga, which is a perfect spot for families because of the various presentations held there.

Meanwhile, “KBYN” features 58-year-old Susana Babao from Camarines Norte, who is still pursuing her studies as a Grade 10 student. Despite the circumstance, she proves that her age is not a hindrance in her dream of finishing school, which her partner Virgilio Nunez also supports.
