Lovi Poe said her heartfelt goodbyes to Coco Martin and her “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” family after her character, Mokang, met her untimely demise in Thursday’s (January 4) episode of the Kapamilya teleserye, leaving viewers shocked and saddened over her departure.

In a video released by ABS-CBN Entertainment, Lovi shared how fulfilling it was for her to be part of the series. She also expressed her gratitude to Coco for continuing the legacy of her father, Fernando Poe Jr.

“It’s the first time na nakasama ako sa isang proyekto that represents my dad. Being part of this meant the world to me. Papa, I also pray that you guide and bestow Coco your powers. He has it all now and I know papa your legacy is in great hands,” she said.

Lovi will also forever cherish her bond with Coco as their beloved tandem as Mokang and Tanggol touched the hearts of many viewers.

“Sobrang laki ng pasasalamat ko sa kanya. Naging isa ko siyang mabuting kaibigan, ang dami-dami kong natutunan sa kanya. Talagang bilib ako sa kanya in every aspect. I’m very grateful to have been part of his journey,” said Lovi.

Coco led the “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” cast, together with Ivana Alawi, Christopher de Leon, and Irma Adlawan, as well as director Darnel Villaflor, as they congratulated Lovi for giving life to her character as Mokang.

“Natutuwa ako sa kanya kasi sobra siyang game sa mga eksena. Walang kaarte-arte sa kung ano ang ipapagawa mo sa kanya. Napaka-down to earth niya,” said Coco about working with Lovi in a previous interview.

As the story continues, Tanggol (Coco) will say his final goodbyes to Mokang (Lovi), after she was shot by Olga (Irma) as she attempted to save Tanggol’s life during an intense crossfire.
