Draped in a red robe, it stands about a foot tall but a Filipino community in California believes even bigger things happen for those who never wavered in their faith. &quot;We&#x27;re praying for the sick people, problem people, everything, family problem. After we pray they really get the blessing. The answered prayers,&quot; said Maria Cordova.Cordova found the foot-tall Black Nazarene in the Philippines about seven years ago. She decided to keep it and eventually shared it with others. &quot;I found it in Las Piñas, in the trash. And now, it&#x27;s here. That year that I found Him, I was so blessed,&quot; she said.Devotees at the annual Nazarene feast in Bellflower share their own tales and miracles.&quot;For my grandson, Calvin Roldan, when he was one and a half years old, we brought him to Tatay Nazareno and with his blessing with the help of Maria Cordova he is better now,&quot; said devotee Fe Roldan.The blessings have continued to pour in since. For couple Sarah and Joel Pablo, their blessing came six months ago with the birth of their daughter.&quot;She is a blessing from God.
