<p>MANILA - Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. on Friday said he would like to &quot;finish his own fights&quot; as he sought to meet with the German ambassador to the Philippines after Berlin summoned the Philippines&#x27; acting envoy.</p><p>Germany&#x27;s foreign ministry called on the Philippine representative there after Locsin said in an interview that he won&#x27;t apologize for President Rodrigo Duterte&#x27;s past statement citing Nazi leader Adolf Hitler&#x27;s massacre of Jews in his pursuit of the government&#x27;s war on drugs.</p><p>Locsin, known to be vocal with his thoughts on social media, made the statement on Twitter.</p><p>&quot;Yes, what now? Berlin embassy is handling it; I already told them to tell the German Foreign Ministry to send the German ambassador to me because I&#x27;d rather finish my own fights than have others do it. That&#x27;s how he expressed himself.&quot; He added that Duterte&#x27;s war on drugs &quot;has inspired greater confidence,&quot; based on surveys.</p><p>Duterte&#x27;s Jewish genocide remarks in 2016 had triggered shock and anger among Jewish groups.
