CLIFTON, New Jersey – A Filipino-owned store considered as the oldest and largest in the east coast is expanding business and has been providing job opportunities to a new generation of employees called the iGen, also known as the GenZ.

What started out as a small store in a garage in the 1970s grew into a storefront with more than 372 square meters of space in Jersey City years later.

Now, this Philippine grocery store has quadrupled into a 1,500-sqm superstore known as “Filstop” here.

Santos said Filstop is a place where people can put away their smartphones and other gadgets and focus on eating, shopping and spending time with loved ones.
