Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dressed up as Superman's journalist alter ego, Clark Kent, while on presidential duties at the House of Commons.

The 45-year old leader wore wide-rimmed spectacles and a blue suit with bright red tie, his shirt open to expose the Superman costume underneath.

After descending the stairs on his way to question period, he reportedly said in both official languages of the country that it was a big shock to see the prime minister dressed as a journalist, but "you know, gotta do it."
