She said her son was in the locker room when the incident happened.&quot;He was on his way out to meet with his other friends and then they saw kids running towards the exit. But of course, I think it was helpful that he did not see what happened,&quot; she said.She expressed hopes that their community would soon come together and rise above the tragedy.&quot;Hopefully, people would get together and make sure everyone is safe. Hopefully that&#x27;s the main thing that we would like to maintain in Santa Clarita-- safety, especially for our kids,&quot; she said.
