Kyle, Grae share how they prepare for their scenes in “Pamilya Sagrado”

One of the most interesting aspects of being an actor is the ability to live different lives as one takes on a variety of roles throughout his or her career. Thus, among the skills that the actors must learn is the most effective and easiest way for them to get into the characters that they would play as soon as they step on the set of the movies or shows they’re a part of.

Take, for example, the Gen Z cast of Pamilya Sagrado, who, at young ages, have already portrayed a variety of roles in the few years that they’ve been in the industry. Therefore, each one of them is already able to create their respective techniques when it comes to absorbing their characters, which they enthusiastically imparted in this video!

Let’s start off with Kyle Echarri, who, as a singer and recording artist, has a couple of songs dedicated to his character Moises. His being a natural empath also helps him connect with his character. Of course, reading the script will always be part of his routine.

Grae Fernandez, on the other hand, has unique ways of putting himself in the shoes of his character, Justin Sagrado. He doesn’t only memorize his lines, but he also makes sure to determine and discern the context of what his character is saying. Besides, wardrobe is important for him, as he finds being in the garments of Justin helps him be in the zone or soul of his character.

Daniela Stranner, who breathes life into Maxene, reads her lines and processes her ‘kargas’ or emotions when needed. Before filming, she also stays with the people to whom she shares the scene and bonds with them, so that it will seemingly be easy for her to get the vibe.

In playing Felicia, Alyana Angeles simply enjoys every moment of the process and makes sure to know her character deeply and its backstory, in order for her to be guided whenever she’s in the scene.

Jeremiah Lisbo also makes sure that he’s just present in the moment, especially in the scenes of his character, John Kelvin. Like his co-star, Daniela, he also bonds more with his castmates to integrate the dynamics of their characters.

And lastly, for Micaela Santos, she makes sure that she already feels the emotions of her character in a particular scene before coming in front of the camera. She reviews the script and her lines, as well as practice the way her character Danica moves, speaks, or behaves.
