Kyle reacts on dramatic scene with Joel Torre in “Pamilya Sagrado,” shares experience working with the veteran actor

We all know how a promising performer Kyle Echarri is, and the same can be said about his impressive acting chops, which we get to witness at present through his astounding portrayal of Moises Malonzo in the ongoing primetime series “<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pamilyasagrado" target="_blank">Pamilya Sagrado</a>.”  And recently, ent.abs-cbn.com had the chance to catch up with the young actor to quiz him on the fun facts about the series, as well as to see his reactions to a few notable scenes that he did in this episode of Kapamilya React. <script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAEyze-tm4MR6kEa&amp;cid=ABPn9q53iobWCAU3&amp;activation=click&amp;vip_mode=playing&amp;vip_position=bottom-right"></script>First off was the scorching confrontation scene between his and Grae Fernandez’s characters, Moises and Justin, wherein the former was able to make the latter ‘fess up for a crime that he and the Gamma Sigma Xi fraternity had committed. According to Kyle, it was among the last couple of scenes that they did prior to packing up that day. They were able to perfect it in only two takes, with the last one just for “safety.” He added that it was an example of him and Grae reacting to and collaborating with each other, which he described as “a lot of fun.” The next one was his dramatic scene with Joel Torre, which he revealed was his first-ever crying scene in the series. He disclosed that it was actually quite difficult to do since it was only either the first or second day of their shoot. But, thankfully, he’s already able to create a chemistry with the veteran actor and Shaina Magdayao right on the very start of their filming—to the point that they went on the set together and ate at the same time. “Sobra akong kinilig noong araw na ‘yon kasi sinabihan ako ni Tito Joel pagkatapos ng eksena, ‘Ang galing naman pala ni Moises eh. Ang galing pala ng anak ko e.’ Simula no’n, Tito Joel always makes sure that I know what he’s proud of me,” he enthused. More than acting tips, Kyle said that Joel and their other castmates provided him with the support he needed whenever they’re on the same scene, especially the veteran actor. He related, “Kapag nakita mo ‘yan sa set, kahit wala siyang camera at all, bigay-todo siya sa linyahan and he would throw his lines just like when the camera’s on. ‘Yon ang na-appreciate ko.” The third one was that scene wherein Kyle shaved his hair off, which he confessed was his personal request to the creative team. “Naisip ko lang kasi sa dami ng mangyayari pa after nitong eksena na ‘to and sa dami ng nangyari na before that, there has to be a point where Moises, I feel like, matures as he gives in to what has already been put on him except his faith. And it was like a physical manifestation of this,” he shared. Kyle was then shown his confrontation sequence with Piolo Pascual at a hospital, wherein Moises amazingly still mustered the strength to engage in an intense argument with Rafael despite still recuperating. He described it as a “cool scene” and fun to shoot. The 21-year-old actor then couldn’t help himself from smiling when his kissing scene with Daniela Stranner at a river was flashed on the screen. According to him, the water was only shallow, so they had to squat underwater. It was pretty awkward at first since he’s not used to doing kissing scenes and he only had one in the past. Moreover, they had fun during that shoot in Subic, Zambales, where they had the chance to swim and enjoy the cold and clear water of the river amid the sweltering heat. It was also easy to shoot with Daniela because she’s very professional.
