At a young age, “Pamilya Sagrado” lead character Moises Malonzo (Kyle Echarri) has already gone through a lot of hardships in life – from having to help his family with their finances and securing a scholarship for him to pursue his college education to having to face legal issues caused by the wickedness of the affluent Sagrado family.

Fortunately, he has people around him who he can depend on, and one of them is Danica Sagrado (Micaela Santos), the daughter of now-President Elias Sagrado (John Arcilla). Who would have thought that there’s still someone from that notorious family who still possesses a heart of gold and can be a genuine friend?

But how did their admirable friendship start? Let’s look back in this edition of Friday 5!

It all began one night when their paths first intertwined at a bar, where Moises witnessed Danica and her friends being escorted out by two bouncers since all of them were still minors. He meddled in the altercation and stopped the two men from harassing the girls, which almost resulted in a fisticuff. However, Moises just opted to leave and took Danica with him to prevent further trouble, then hailed a taxi for her to make sure that she would go home safely.

As if struck by fate, they once again saw each other at the cafeteria of Crestwood University, where Moises worked as a part-time food assistant, while she was being toured around by some of the staff since she was just a new student. She was able to fulfill her word to him that she would have bodyguards the next time that they would see each other since it was revealed that she is the daughter of then-senator Elias Sagrado.

Danica then had the chance to return the favor to Moises, as she willingly helped him when he requested that she be his bridge to reaching her father. He was hoping that a Sagrado could help him get away from the mess that another Sagrado inflicted on him. Even though there was no assurance that this was going to have a positive outcome, she still decided to help him along with her two friends.

They were able to pick him up on their way to the house where she resided with her dad after luring her unsuspecting bodyguards and letting him stay for the night. Aside from feeding him, she also lent him clothes and promised to be her “resbak” in this battle. As Moises expressed his worry that she would get involved in his predicament, Danica appreciated it told him not to fret about her since she’s been ready to face her family.

True to her word, she indeed made a way for Moises to get help from her dad. She reminded Elias of his promise to make up for his shortcomings by asking him to listen to the side of Moises regarding his issue with their family. And when Elias asked her how he would be able to do it, the politician was indeed astonished to see Moises there.

And finally, Moises was able to personally tell the President that all the allegations hurled by Justin (Grae Fernandez) and Rafael (Piolo Pascual) regarding his involvement in the tragic death of Roland Salvacion (JC Alcantara) were false. The same was true with the possession of illegal drugs case filed against him, as he firmly asserted the drugs found in his belongings were just planted. He also clarified that he didn’t mean to hurt Justin during their last encounter but to only scare him, yet he failed.

During his conversation with Maxene (Daniela Stranner) over the phone, Moises revealed that it was Danica who had been helping him. Danica also assured them that her dad would help Moises, and he was, in fact, called for a meeting the following day.

Now that Moises got framed up for fatally stabbing Elias, which was actually committed by Jaime Sagrado (Tirso Cruz III), will there still be a chance for him and Danica to continue their friendship? Or is it going to be over?

Well, that’s for us to find out, so you better not miss an episode of “Pamilya Sagrado,” on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
