Kapamilya Snaps: Sweetest moments of “hottest musical pair” KDLex!

Their tandem may just be new, but KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad have already succeeded in winning our hearts with their undeniable chemistry that never fail to make the butterflies in our stomachs aflutter and paint a smile onto our faces.And two years since their loveteam was born, the two have already done a lot of awesome things together, from working on various projects, attending events, and going places. Let’s look back on some of their kilig moments together that were caught on camera in this edition of Kapamilya Snaps!As we all know, their well-loved team-up was born during their stints as housemates in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbs10">Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10</a>. They may have come from different backgrounds and somehow possess different personalities, but that didn’t hinder them from forming a genuine friendship and creating sweet music together. They’d been each other’s shoulder to cry on and glimmer of light every time anxieties and negative emotions got the best of them while inside the house, as well as each other’s favorite jamming partner and best friend. Thus, some viewers couldn’t help but wish for them to become really together, and the KDLex ship started to sail.Although either of them failed to claim the Big Winner title, they continued to gain popularity in the outside world as one of the newest and hottest love teams of today. Aside from the left and right guestings, the two also hosted the virtual meet-and-greet dubbed “Closer: The KDLex FanCon” in February 2022 as their way of extending their gratitude to fans who have supported them individually and as a tandem.In May 2022, KD and Alexa starred in their first project together, which was the iWantTFC Originals miniseries “Run To Me” that was also broadcast in the social entertainment app Kumu. It followed the amusing adventures of their characters Wilson and Jewel, two young people living totally different lives whose paths intertwined through an unexpected and ridiculous circumstance.Later that year, they received their first-ever recognition as a pair, the Asia’s Most Promising Loveteam of the Year from the 6th Asia-Pacific Luminare Awards given in November 2022. It was indeed memorable for them as it coincided with the 10th monthsary of their fandom fondly called KDLex Sweethearts.A few days later, the beloved duo took home the Best Couple Award during the Star Magical Christmas thanksgiving event. Aside from spreading kilig as they graced the fete hand-in-hand, they also delighted many with their cute ensembles inspired by the Filipino Christmas staples puto bumbong and bibingka, which bagged individual awards for Best in Costume Male and Female.And just recently, they attended the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/starmagic/videos/star-magic-30-catalogue-launch-kdlex-draws-kilig-with-misteryo-duet-348014">Star Magic 30 Catalogue Launch</a>, wherein they didn’t only sign their solo portraits featured in the said collection, but also captivated the attendees as they shared the stage in performing their song “Misteryo”.It isn’t only during their onscreen appearances that KD and Alexa excite their fans with their presence together, but also with their sweetest photos and videos that captured their intimate moments off the set or outside work.Who would forget when they went all-out in depicting fictional couple Victor Van Dort and Emily from the iconic 2005 stop-motion animated dark fantasy flick “Corpse Bride” for Halloween 2022? From their costumes and makeup to the set design, they made sure that everything was on-point! Alexa shared their photos on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Thank you, team, for turning my childhood dream into a reality.”The “hottest musical pair” has also found a common denominator when it comes to the music and artists they listen to. Thus, one of their favorite bonding activities (or should we say dates?) together is attending concerts. So far, they saw Korean pop group BLACKPINK last March, American rock band My Chemical Romance last May, and Fil-Am hitmaker Bruno Mars last June. They may not have confirmed the real score between them, but KD and Alexa have already gone to different places together. First off was their trip to Hong Kong last February, which, in spite of sharing only a few snaps, they apparently enjoyed as they didn’t only stroll through its bustling streets, but also feasted on some sumptuous Chinese foods.It was followed by <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/starmagic/articles-news/kdlex-chronicles-first-ever-japan-trip-together-through-vlogs-20042">their unforgettable getaway to Japan</a> last April, wherein they were able to visit some of the famous tourist attractions in Kyoto and Osaka, such as the Universal Studios, Cup Noodles Museum, Osaka Castle Park, and the iconic Glico Running Man billboard, as well as try out different activities and food, too!They also got to explore three of the most popular cities in the United States, namely, New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, along with their Star Magic family during the Star Magic 30th Anniversary: Beyond the Stars U.S. Tour that ran for days last August. Of course, they didn’t only hustle there, for they had the opportunity to visit some tourist destinations, too.KD and Alexa were indeed a picture of a happy pair when they spent a day at the happiest place on earth! They were able to try some of the rides and attractions, bought dolls of Alexa’s favorite characters, and even watched the fantastic fireworks display by night.But before flying to different destinations and going through various memorable experiences together, the breakthrough loveteam of 2022, of course, didn’t miss to celebrate the first anniversary of their loveteam with their loyal “sweethearts” last January 2023.The young actress-singer shared a few highlights from the intimate party via IG Reels and captioned it, “Through the highs &amp; the lows, it’s us against the world and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy 1st anniversary, Sweethearts! Thank you to EACH AND EVERY member of this family- you have changed our lives forever. We love you more than you can imagine. Looking forward to the next years to come. [sic]”Soon, fans will finally get to watch them in their first teleserye together, <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/paraiso2023">Pira-Pirasong Paraiso</a>, in which they’re going to portray the roles of sophisticated and feisty journalist Angela Medina and her hardworking apprentice Elon.
