Ryan Evangelista, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA -- Almost 100,000 residents from various municipalities of Camarines Sur evacuated during the height of Tropical Storm Kristine.</div>In the town of Sipocot, residents recounted the sudden rise of floodwater, which they likened during Ulysses of 2020.&quot;Nakita ko kusina namin na napupuno ng tubig kaya agad umaksyon kami at tinaas na ang gamit, nagpunta na kami sa parish hall,&quot; said Xavier Yñigo Azuela, a resident of Sipocot.(I saw water rising in our kitchen, so we immediately transferred our belongings to upper floors and evacuated in the parish hall.)&quot;Nangangamba ako sa mga darating na bagyo, maabot na second floor namin,&quot; he said.(I am worried that waters might reach our second floor.)Some residents say this is much worse than previous typhoons and floods, as water rose much faster.&quot;Sobrang lalim ngayon for the first time! Yung hanapbuhay namin nandon, may paninda ako nandon. Kahit tshirt wala na save! Yung ganung tataas, yung aabot ng second floor, hindi talaga expected,&quot; said Jonim Castro, another resident of Sipocot.(The waters are so deep for the first time. Our livelihood were all there. We werent able to save anything. I did not expect it.)Even the public market was flooded, so vendors had to find temporary relocation.Rescuers worked almost nonstop, and Sipocot BFP said residents in the town were 100% safe.Only chickens in a poultry farm perished because of intense flooding.In a Facebook post, Camarines Sur Governor Luigi Villafuerte said more than 21,000 families were evacuated, while 301 people were rescued due to the storm.
