MANILA (UPDATED) — Several local government units have announced class suspensions for Monday, November 11, due to the expected impact of Severe Tropical Storm Nika. 

Classes have been suspended at all levels in the following areas:

Camarines Sur

- Naga City

Echague, Isabela (including work in government offices)

Talavera, Nueva Ecija

La Union

Caloocan City

Muntinlupa

Bulacan

-Balagtas

-Guiguinto

Classes are suspended from elementary to high school in the following areas:

Tagkawayan, Quezon

Bulacan

In-person classes are suspended in the following areas:

At 4 p.m. Sunday, the center of Nika was estimated at 380 km east of Infanta, Quezon with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 135 km/h. It is moving Westward at 20 km/h with strong to storm-force winds extending outwards up to 340 km from the center. 

It will intensify into a typhoon Sunday and make landfall over Aurora or Isabela on Monday morning or afternoon.
