Screenshot from SWU Phinma&#x27;s video"/><span class="fr-inner" spellcheck="false" style="text-align:left">Man, 70, finishes medicine in Cebu. <em id="isPasted">Screenshot from SWU Phinma&#x27;s video</em></span></span></span><span dir="ltr"><br/></span></div><div><span dir="ltr">CEBU — A 70-year-old foreign student has finished medicine at a university in Cebu, which called him as &quot;one of the world&#x27;s oldest medical graduates.&quot;<br/></span></div><div><span dir="ltr">Toh Hong Keng, a Malaysian, finished foundational medicine at the University of South Western University - PHINMA in Cebu City.<br/><br/>In a video posted by the university, Toh — a retired executive based in Hong Kong holding top positions for global brands — said he decided to enter medical school when he was 66. <br/></span></div><div><span dir="ltr">&quot;I think it is the right thing to do because I can help my friends and family,&quot; Toh said, adding he</span><span dir="ltr"> pursued medicine despite people saying he was wasting his time and money.<br/></span></div><div><span dir="ltr">He said his decision started after meeting two young Indian students during his trip to Kyrgyzstan.<br/></span></div><div><span dir="ltr">In the video, he also shared how his age affected him in school, especially since his memory is not as good as it used to be and his mobility is limited.</span></div><div><span dir="ltr">But he added: &quot;Do many things not many people are doing… You should go ahead and do that dream that you have. You should have no regret at the end of it.&quot;<br/></span></div><div><span dir="ltr">To him, a medical degree is fulfilling after spending a lot of time and effort.<br/></span></div><div><span dir="ltr">&quot;I need to persevere every year to complete the course. It is worth it in the end. If I can do it, you can do it,&quot; Toh said.<br/><br/>Toh is a chemistry and control engineering graduate. He later earned his master&#x27;s degree in chemical engineering.</span></div>
