MANILA — A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck the waters off Northern Samar on Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

At a depth of 10 kilometers, the earthquake was felt at a strong Intensity 5 in Bobon, Catarman, Laoang, Lavezares, Palapag, Rosario, and San Roque in Northern Samar.
