Who are you when no one is watching? We borrow this tagline from the trending mystery coming-of-age series “Senior High” as we get to know one of its stars Juan Karlos Labajo, better known as JK.

Given his mysterious rocker vibe, JK comes off as the alpha male student jock who is always the life of the party. That’s why he fits the bill as Gino in his latest teleserye. When asked what he is as a student in real life, he admits that he’s the quiet type, and somehow his being mysterious makes him the student that everyone should be cautious of. Then, he fills the room with laughter after saying these.

Born on February 5, 2001, he’s an Aquarius. Unlike his co-stars, JK is not the best person to ask about zodiacs and horoscopes. He has no idea what the stars reveal about an Aquarius’ personality.

His favorite ice cream flavor is anything that has almonds – rough on the outside but creamy on the inside. If you wish to give him food, you will never go wrong with Japanese curry. The best place he’s travelled to is Banaue, Ifugao.

Complementing his rocker aura, his favorite color is black. As if his musicality doesn’t make him cool enough, JK is also into motocross and badminton and has a tech company at the age of 22. He has a collection of guitars, motorbikes, and cameras. Cool.

Asked his favorite childhood memory, he wanders back to 2013 when he witnessed a huge earthquake during a family vacation. “Weird, pero let me explain,” he presses. “Napaka-fascinating kasi nu’n for me as a 12-year-old kid. Naglilinis ako ng isda tapos ‘yung swimming pool biglang naubos ‘yung tubig, parang magic. Medyo dark pero ‘yun,” he bursts into laughter.

He’s not picky about his friendships so long as you’re kind. Being thoughtful and sweet is a plus point too.
