MANILA, Philippines — Defending champion Arellano University will try to barge into the finals of the NCAA Season 94 women’s volleyball tournament when it takes on San Beda University on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.It will be a rematch of last season’s championship series, which Arellano won in dominant fashion.But the Lady Red Spikers earned a measure of revenge by denying the Lady Chiefs a sweep of the elimination round. San Beda stunned the defending champions, 16-25, 25-17, 25-19, 18-25, 16-14, when they met last week.It was Arellano’s first defeat of the season after winning their first eight assignments.
