PBA Media Bureau</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATED) The TNT KaTropa barged into the win column of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup after outlasting the NLEX Road Warriors 85-80 at Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday.A split at the line by Jayson Castro and two free throws by Roger Pogoy allowed the KaTropa to survive NLEX&#x27;s last-ditch comeback attempt. The KaTropa went on to lead by as many as 14 points, 75-61, with 9:29 left after Ryan Reyes knocked down a deep three-pointer.But Poy Erram rallied NLEX back, overpowering the TNT big men for buckets inside the paint. His lay-up with 2:53 left — off a lob by Kevin Alas — made it a two-point game, 79-77.The Road Warriors squandered several chances to tie or take the lead, however. Erram badly misfired on a lay-up in NLEX&#x27;s next trip down and, after a TNT turnover, Alas bricked a step-back three-pointer. The Road Warriors paid for their misses when Pogoy drilled what appeared to be the dagger triple with 43.7 seconds left for an 82-77 count.&quot;Ine-expect namin na he&#x27;ll make that shot,&quot; Ravena said of Pogoy. &quot; &#x27;Yun ang pina-practice namin eh, that plays.&quot;NLEX was not done, however, as Erram nailed a three-pointer with 35 seconds left to again make it a one-possession game, 82-80. Castro left the door open for the Road Warriors when he made only the first of two charities off an Alas foul with 14.4 ticks to go.The KaTropa caught a break when Bong Galanza&#x27;s three-pointer hit the back of the rim. Galanza had made four of his six attempts before that miss.Pogoy wound up icing the game from the free throw line, as the 2017 PBA Rookie of the Year finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds.Don Trollano added 15 points and 7 boards, while 3 other TNT players finished in double-digits.Erram scored 15 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, and added 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. Alas again struggled from the field, making only 1-of-10 attempts for 3 points, though he did have 7 dimes.
