Five players scored in double-digits for the two-time defending UAAP champions, with Go finishing with 15 points, and BJ Andrade adding 13 markers. RV Berjay and Thirdy Ravena each scored 12 points, while SJ Belangel tallied 10 markers. UV&#x27;s Rey Suerte gave a good account of himself in the one-game final putting up 26 points and six rebounds for the Green Lancers. The Blue Eagles soon raced to a 10-3 lead, with Go nailing another triple and Berjay also finding his mark from beyond the arc.Ateneo seized a 19-8 lead at the end of the first frame despite having only nine players available. They were up, 52-34, at the half.The Blue Eagles kept pouring it on in the second half, with Gian Mamuyac and Adrian Wong joining the scoring parade. They went on to lead by as much as 33 points, 84-51, after a bucket by Mike NIeto with 7:36 to play.A scoring flurry by Suerte in the final five minutes allowed UV to trim the lead, but the Blue Eagles were never in trouble.Ateneo shot 51% from the field, making 11-of-25 triples. They also had 20 assists, and scored 31 points from UV&#x27;s 24 turnovers.
