The Alaska management is bringing in a temporary import while Rob Dozier recovers from an injury he suffered even before the Aces started their campaign in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Alaska coach Alex Compton said they hope that Dozier recovers soon from the plantar fasciitis injury he sustained just days before the tournament began.

“I love Rob, and so does the team. But we do need to get an alternate import as he (Dozier) recovers from his injury,” said Compton in Gerry Ramos’ report on Spin.ph.

The Aces are reportedly bringing in NBA D-League player Shane Edwards when they go up against Talk ‘N Text on Wednesday.

Edwards recently played for BG Gottingen in Germany where he normed 11.7 points per outing.

He also suited up for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds in the D-League and also joined the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2014 Summer League.

Dozier sat out Alaska's opening game against Blackwater last week. They lost against the Elite, 101-107.
