Arvin Lim, ABS-CBN Sports</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines -- La Salle continues to be the puzzle that Ateneo cannot solve in UAAP women&#x27;s volleyball.The defending champion Lady Eagles were dismantled by their archrivals on Saturday, as the Lady Spikers registered a 25-17, 17-25, 25-17, 25-15 triumph to start their campaign in Season 82. After losing to a fired-up Ateneo in the second set, La Salle dominated the rest of the way to hand the Lady Eagles their first defeat of the tournament.It is Ateneo&#x27;s seventh consecutive defeat to La Salle dating back to the Finals of Season 79, as the Lady Eagles have been simply unable to get a breakthrough win.For head coach Oliver Almadro, this loss should motivate the Lady Eagles to &quot;go back to what&#x27;s our purpose.&quot;&quot;We have to take a look again, look back, go back, what&#x27;s our real purpose,&quot; he said. &quot;Do we just want to win one game, or want to win the UAAP?&quot;&quot;So we really have to recall, go back, and examine ourselves. To find the right character that we really want. So we really have to look back and look for our purpose again,&quot; he said.Almadro, who is now 0-3 against Ramil de Jesus in UAAP women&#x27;s volleyball, acknowledged that the Lady Eagles&#x27; morale was low. The players were downcast as they exited Mall of Asia Arena, even as they were greeted with cheers and applause by their fans outside the venue. But Almadro stressed that this loss cannot keep his team down for long. &quot;One game, two games will not determine the character of a team,&quot; he said. &quot;What&#x27;s important is, we really have to go back to our purpose. We have to recall the character that we want.&quot;&quot;We don&#x27;t count losses, we don&#x27;t count wins. We count the learnings that we have, every game and every season,&quot; he added.The Lady Eagles can bounce back on Wednesday, when they take on University of the East. Almadro said this is an opportunity that they must take advantage of.&quot;Every game is an opportunity, every practice is an opportunity.
