But he stressed that plenty of work needs to be done by the Lady Spikers, particularly in one of the most basic skills of the game.&quot;Siguro unang-unang gagawin namin, mag-serve ng buong practice. So &#x27;yun ang problema eh, &#x27;yung pinaka-basic -- mag-serve,&quot; he said.The Lady Spikers entered the match as the best serving team in the league, with an average of 2.28 aces per set. They also have the league&#x27;s reigning Best Server in Desiree Cheng, and two of the league&#x27;s top servers in Michelle Cobb and Aduke Ogunsanya.But against UP, La Salle&#x27;s best skill betrayed them. They committed several crucial service errors, particularly in the second and third sets. Cheng sent her serve short late in the second frame, allowing UP to knot the count at 22. Ogunsanya also commited a service error that put the Lady Maroons at set point, 24-23.The Lady Spikers&#x27; service errors in the third set were even more brutal. May Luna, fresh off the bench, threw away her serve to give UP a 22-18 lead, while Des Clemente gifted the Lady Maroons with match point when her serve did not even clear the net.&quot;Sabi ko naman sa kanila, hindi kalaban ninyo ang magpapanalo sa inyo, kayo ang magpapanalo sa sarili niyo,&quot; said de Jesus. &quot;Unang-una siyempre, &#x27;yung serve.
