Arvin Lim, <a href="https://sports.abs-cbn.com/uaap/volleyball/photos">ABS-CBN Sports</a></figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines -- Adamson University bolstered its chances of advancing to the Final 4 of the UAAP Season 81 men&#x27;s volleyball tournament after a hard-earned five-set victory over Far Eastern University (FEU) on Wednesday.The Soaring Falcons saved two match points to claim a 25-14, 22-25, 25-23, 16-25, 17-15 triumph over the Tamaraws at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.George Labang Jr. was superb, putting up 24 points while Leo Miranda (15) and Pao Pablico (14) also reached double-digits for the Falcons.Adamson hiked its record to 6-4, tying idle Ateneo de Manila University for a share of fourth place. FEU, for its part, dropped to 8-2. The Tams have now lost two of their last three games after sweeping the first round of eliminations.The loss also prevented FEU from clinching a spot in the semifinals.<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://sports.abs-cbn.com/uaap/news/2019/04/03/uaap-season-81-lady-eagles-target-ninth-win-row-55318">READ: Lady Eagles target ninth win in a row</a></li></ul>With the fifth set tied at 15, Miranda overpowered an FEU triple-block with a clutch hit to put Adamson at match point for the first time. The Soaring Falcons did not even need to run a play in the final rally, as Royce Bello fired up an ace to seal the victory in two hours and 3 minutes.It was only the Falcons&#x27; second ace of the game.Adamson overwhelmed FEU offensively, tallying 66 kills to only 50 for the Tamaraws.Richard Solis led the Tams with 18 points, while JP Bugaoan had 15 markers including 4 of FEU&#x27;s 10 kill blocks. Jude Garcia added 13, and RJ Paler had 12 points for the Tamaraws, who remain in second place in the league standings behind National University (9-1).Meanwhile, University of Santo Tomas (UST) also stayed alive in the semifinals race, after a 25-17, 18-25, 25-20, 25-15 victory over University of the Philippines.The defeat formally ousted the Fighting Maroons from the Final 4 hunt as well.Joshua Umandal and Jaron Requinton each scored 20 points, as the Tiger Spikers improved to 4-6. UST is tied with De La Salle University for fifth and sixth places, two games behind Ateneo and Adamson.
