Management of both GlobalPort and TNT used the <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/04/03/18/pba-globalport-on-romeo-trade-split-team-wont-stand-in-way-of-ones-happiness" target="_blank">phrase</a> &quot;win-win&quot; to describe the change of addresses by Terrence Romeo and Moala Tautuaa in the PBA.For a frustrated superstar looking for more team success and an underutilized top prospect trying to find his place in the league, that could be true.Romeo had been disgruntled with GlobalPort in months leading up to switching teams, a dissatisfaction that seemed to boil over when he and head coach Pido Jarencio got into a <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/03/06/18/pba-terrence-romeo-pido-jarencio-downplay-shouting-match" target="_blank">shouting match</a> during a game, and talk swirled that Romeo had allegedly been <a href="https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/news/gap-widens-as-terrence-romeo-not-informed-about-start-of-globalport-practice" target="_blank">frozen out</a> of team practice. Meanwhile, Tautuaa hadn&#x27;t developed into a consistent inside force that TNT had hoped when he was chosen No. 1 in the 2015 PBA rookie draft.Now, Romeo is reunited with Far Eastern University coach Nash Racela and Gilas Pilipinas back-court mate Jayson Castro, giving the ball-dominant playmaker an environment he can trust as he develops a championship-caliber reputation.TNT team manager Virgil Villavicencio said Romeo and Racela were in touch the past 2 months, adding that this is an opportunity for Romeo to give Castro a Jimmy Alapag-like partner that could add more pressure on opposing defenses.&quot;Both players can play 1 and 2 positions. They can both make plays and score. For Jayson, he was very effective when Jimmy was around . . . maybe (Romeo) can help Jayson also,&quot; Villavicencio told ABS-CBN News in a phone interview Tuesday night, suggesting that Castro missed playing with Alapag and that Romeo could fill that void.For Tautuaa, who had to fight for minutes with former MVP Kelly Williams and Gilas regular Troy Rosario at TNT, he could be a perfect fit now for a GlobalPort team looking for more muscle down low.Villavicencio said that, under the tutelage of GlobalPort head coach Pido Jarencio, Tautuaa has a chance to reach his potential.Jarencio is known to have helped Kelly Nabong find a pro-career renaissance and, during Jarencio&#x27;s days at University of Santo Tomas, fine-tuned Jervy Cruz&#x27;s game in preparation for the PBA.&quot;For the sake of Mo, he may not have gotten the (playing) time but maybe he can develop with other teams,&quot; Villavicencio said.&quot;I think this trade is a win-win for both teams because both players were given a second chance.&quot;According to Villavicencio, the acquisition of Romeo is part of the team&#x27;s youth movement.Last year, TNT started to look forward to its future by investing in Rosario, RR Pogoy and Anthony Semerad, and shipping to other teams veterans with championship experience such as Ranidel de Ocampo and Larry Fonacier.Romeo is another piece that could help the KaTropa in its transition.&quot;Feeling namin, (it was time) to rebuild,&quot; Villavicencio said.Romeo is scheduled to attend his first practice at TNT on Wednesday.For more sports coverage, visit the <a href="http://sports.abs-cbn.com" target="_blank">ABS-CBN Sports website</a>.
