Courtesy of Joaqui Flores</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines—Coach Ramil de Jesus was pleased with the turnout for the second day of the tryouts for the women&#x27;s national volleyball team, as several new faces showed up on Wednesday at the Arellano University Gym.Members of the De La Salle Lady Spikers and the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers attended the tryout for the second time, but most of the attention was on the new players who arrived.Former national team captain Mika Reyes, along with Petron teammates Ces Molina and Rhea Dimaculangan, were there on Wednesday. Also present were the Pocari Sweat tandem of Elaine Kasilag and Myla Pablo. None of those five players participated in the drills or scrimmages, but that they showed up and expressed their interest joining the national team was good enough for De Jesus. &quot;Well, ang gusto ko lang naman ay &#x27;yung mga nasa master list, magpakita ng interest. Kung nagpunta dito, happy ako. Kasi kung hindi nagpakita, medyo mabigat &#x27;yun kasi kahit invited ka, kung di ka naman nagpakita ng interest, so useless din,&quot; said the coach.Indeed, they held a second day of the tryout specifically for those players who were unable to attend Day 1 last Friday due to commitments to their mother teams.&quot;Noong first day kasi, nagsabi naman sila na meron silang mga commitment doon sa mother team nila, so ine-expect ko naman na darating &#x27;yung iba. Pero &#x27;yung iba talaga, hindi makaalis at may commitment pa,&quot; he said.De Jesus was also happy to see some players who were not on his master list show up at the tryout, including former national team libero Denden Lazaro.&quot;Well happy ako kasi nagpakita sila ng interest, although hindi sila nakasama sa master list. Natutuwa ako kasi nagpakita sila ng interest,&quot; he said.Though there were still some key players who did not attend the tryout — including former mainstay Rachel Anne Daquis — de Jesus instead focused on the solid performances of the players who were there. He was especially proud to see some of the younger players from the UAAP keep up with the veterans from the Philippine Superliga.&quot; &#x27;Yung nagpakita ngayon, puro potentials naman &#x27;yun,&quot; said De Jesus. &quot;Isa rin &#x27;yun sa mga gusto ko makita sa tryout. Kung makapag-buo tayo ng 25 players dito, better na sa kanila na manggaling at sila na rin ang pagkunan, kasi sila na rin ang nagpakita ng interest.&quot;The one player who drew most of the attention?
