Kapamilya star Vice Ganda will be wearing a new hat, this time venturing into the world of volleyball.

The "It’s Showtime" host and comedian is the playing team owner of the Vice Co. Blockbusters, who will see action in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference men’s division starting May 6.

Yes, you got that right.

The "unkabogable" Vice Ganda will be marching onto the court and strutting his volleyball moves against the country’s best club teams.

“Oo maglalaro siya, naka-lineup siya,” Blockbusters team manager Sammy Gaddi told ABS-CBN Sports on Friday at the PVL Fans Day at Trinona Activity Center.

Vice Ganda will play outside spiker for the Vice Cosmetics franchise, composed of the core of the Far Eastern University Tamaraws under head coach Rey Diaz.

“He’s very excited and very supportive,” added Gaddi. “We’re so happy to have him.”

But fans may have to wait a little longer to catch Vice Ganda in action.

“Mayroon pa siyang mga commitments abroad already so baka pagbalik niya siguro (pa siya makakalaro),” said Gaddi.

Vice Ganda has always been a fan of the sport.

If time permits in his hectic showbiz schedule, Vice Ganda will troop to the venue to watch the UAAP or cheer for his friends playing in the commercial league.

Joining Vice Ganda are FEU standouts Redijohn Paler, Jude Garcia, Richard Solis, JP Bugaoan, Peter Quiel. Cian Silang, Owen Suarez and libero Rikko Marmeto. Also in the squad are veterans Jayson Ramos, team captain Berlin Paglinawan, Paolo Pablico of Adamson University and national team member libero Jack Kalingking.
