(UPDATED) Filipina grappler Annie Ramirez finished her Vietnamese counterpart to claim a gold medal in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games jiu-jutsu competitions in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Saturday.

Ramirez, 32, completed a knee bar to submit Vietnam's Thi Thuong Le in the gold medal match of the women's ne-waza nogi -57kg class.

Ramirez also defeated Cambodia's Mab Sokhouy (2-0) and Thailand's Orapa Senatham (2-0) en route to the gold at Hall B of the Chroy Changvar Convention Center.

"I'm just happy to win the medal for the third time," said Ramirez, who also won gold medals in different weight divisions in the 2019 Philippine and 2021 Vietnam games.

Ramirez's gold is the second for the national jiu-jitsu team in Phnom Penh.

On Thursday, Jenna Kaila Napolis delivered the country's first gold here by ruling the women’s ne-waza Gi 52kg class at the expense of hometown beat Jessa Khan 2-0 in the finals.

The Philippines also won bronze medals in jiu-jitsu on Saturday.

Myron Mangubat won a bronze in men's ne-waza 62kg class, while Louann Gutierres and Andrea Camille Divina placed third in the women's duo.

Tandem Jayson Cayari and Raymond Percival Villaraza also won bronze in the men's duo.
